How do I get my calendar onto my tablet?
Three parts to it: get the calendar link out of Google, put it into a planner, then push the planner to the tablet.
1. Get the iCal link from Google
1. Open Google Calendar in a browser on a computer.
2. Hover over the calendar in the left sidebar, click the three dots, then Settings and sharing.
3. Scroll to Integrate calendar.
4. Copy the Secret address in iCal format. It ends in basic.ics.
Don't use the "embed" URL. That one isn't a feed and it will give you an empty planner.
2. Add it to a planner in CalSync
1. Go to Planners and click New Planner.
2. On General Settings set the Name, Year, Device, Type, Theme and Time format.
3. Open the Calendar Feeds tab, click Google, paste the basic.ics link and click Add.
4. Set the planner Time Zone to your local zone while you are there, otherwise your event times shift.
Calendars are added per planner, so each planner has its own set of feeds.
3. Connect the reMarkable and push
Easiest route is reMarkable Cloud. On the Connect screen pick reMarkable, open the Cloud tab, click Get a one-time code, sign in at my.remarkable.com, then paste the 8 character code into CalSync and click Connect. No cable, no Developer Mode.
Then on the planner card click Regenerate, then Push to device. It lands in eInkPads > Planners under My files, and the tablet picks it up on its next sync.
One thing that catches people the first time: if the folder doesn't appear on the tablet, click the Restart Tablet button in CalSync's left menu, the power icon. reMarkable often won't show a brand new folder until the device has restarted once.
After that, turn on auto-push in Settings > Calendar Settings and it keeps itself updated.
